A traditional savoir-faire
All the processes required to manufacture our shoes are carried out in our factories in Portugal in São João da Madeira near Porto. This region is renowned worldwide for its expertise for making shoes!
Our craftsmen use several types of stitching which requires a remarkable level of expertise. For women's shoes, a welding process is used to ensure a longer durability.
Manufacturing flexible and resistant soles requires a high level of craftsmanship. The leather used, made from calfskin prevents any form of premature wear. This slow and thorough process ensures that Bobbies shoes are of the highest quality.
Walking through the souk is a magical experience. The colors, smells and sounds fascinate the imagination. It was here that a mother and daughter began to share a love of for the art of Morocco. Mina has spent her life in Morocco, exploring and discovering some of the most beautiful vintage Berber textiles, art & jewelry. As she raised her family, the love of traditional Moroccan artistry was soaked up by her daughter, Rania. When life led Rania to California the desire to surround herself with the rugs, pillows and jewelry of Morocco only intensified. It was through this longing to stay connected to her homeland and maintain the bond with her mother that led to the the idea of Illy Made. Today the company relies on Mina's impeccable ability to source the finest Moroccan work and Rania's eye for design. Illy Made seeks to combine the traditional quality and beauty of Berber Moroccan artisans with a fresh aesthetic influenced by modern Los Angeles.
About Our Brand
Niko Ineko is a brand that was started with the idea that if fashion empowers the wearer they should feel good about their choices. We wanted to help by creating a fine quality line of handbags that’s animal-free, made of recyclable materials and ethically manufactured. At Niko Ineko we want you to be able to wear your beliefs, and wear your spirit.
The designer for Niko Ineko is Stella Chang. Stella has designed for the likes of Coach, Kate Spade and Rag and Bone and ensures that Niko Ineko meets the same high standards of quality in design and manufacturing. She is an accessories designer, multimedia artist and patron of wildlife conservation causes. Having grown up in three countries: Taiwan, Canada and the US, and acquiring a fine arts background in different mediums lead to designing with a broader perspective and blending of different tastes—the results of which are styles with a strong point of view and longevity.
Once upon a time, there were two sisters, Jane and Sue.
They grew up in South Africa, where they rode horses and surfed the warm waters off Durban. Jane eventually moved to America and one day, sent Sue a pair of flip flops.
Sue loved these flops, but came home to find her dog, Maggie May, had made quick work of them. The sisters then began talking about how wonderful it would be to create some unique designs, using Mother Nature as an inspiration, which would also make each of us think about the fragile nature of the world we are a small part of.
They decided to turn the flip flop on its head… and so was born Rhino Flops.
To balance life and adventure with amazing, astounding designs that look good and feel great. And, in keeping with our keen interest in helping our namesake live freely and safely, a pledge to donate a portion of our profits to the Thula Thula Rhino Orphanage in South Africa as well as other deserving organizations.
Each pair is crafted to evoke the natural beauty found all around us, and incorporates visuals that are truly one of a kind.
At Rhino Flops, we are committed to overseeing every detail in the design and production with enormous care and attention, and hope that every step you take in them will remind you of the greater world in which we live...
We hope you love our Rhinos as much as we do!
Rhino Flops loves making amazing flip flops and doing good things.
We are proud to partner with organizations that are performing incredible acts of kindness and generosity to make the world a better place. This is our way of saying thank you.
We will donate $1 for every pair of flip flops sold.
You may be familiar with the endemic poaching crisis that has ravaged the world rhino population, all for the sake of obtaining their horns. These horns consist only of keratin, which is the same compound found in fingernails.
In many instances, female rhinos are killed while their infants stand watching and, because the calves rely entirely on their mothers for food and protection, their chances of survival are extremely slim.
The International Union for the Conservation of Nature has placed three rhino species on the critically endangered list.
We are in danger of losing these magnificent animals in the wild.
At Rhino Flops, we are committed to helping restore the balance of nature by proudly supporting the Thula Thula Conservation Fund, which dedicates itself to giving these and other animals a fighting chance at survival. To date, we have contributed a total of $1050 and hope to increase our donation every year.
It is the least we can do in their struggle to return the wild.
